The Sergeants Major Association was Charter January 4, 1999 
                                             Fort Bragg, North Carolina   
 

*  To establish a permanent organization that will further develop the common bond existing
   between all who served in the grade of E-9. 
*  To maintain records and publish the history and achievements of the Sergeants Major Association. 
*  To be of assistance and service in matters pertaining to Veterans affairs. 
*  To perpetuate the memory of our deceased Veterans.
*  To maintain close liaison with all Sergeants Major to recognize outstanding achievements   by appropriate presentations.

Our association officers and directors are all volunteers who devote their time to advance the aims and objectives of the association. They are active and retired military who receive no salary for their hard work.

ISN'T IT IRONIC THAT NOT ONE ACTIVE DUTY SERGEANT MAJOR IS A MEMBER OF THE BOARD. IT'S FURTHER INTERESTING TO NOTE THAT ONLY 30 ACTIVE DUTY SERGEANTS MAJOR ARE MEMBERS OF THE ASSOCIATION.
